There is nothing quite like opening a fresh pack of xacto blades. I love the 100 lines, the repetition, the way the light glows off the sharp edges as well as the paper that is wrapped around them. There is also something about the anticipation of projects ahead of me and the feeling of a fresh start. It is my favorite tool (since my graphic design days) and my attraction to this object is so strong that I have started a new series titled Mnemonic in which that is the sole inspiration.
